WELCOME TO EACHOTHER

Eachother is a new specialty coffee and wine venue from the team behind Rockford Roasting Company — opening in downtown Rockford later this year.

For over a decade, Rockford Roasting has been dedicated to education — helping coffee lovers in Rockford discover what makes coffee truly exceptional through understanding the process, from seed to cup. Eachother builds on this foundation but shifts the focus deeper: not just to the process itself, but to the relationships within that process. The farmer's connection to the land. The roaster's understanding of the bean. The moment you share a discovery with someone else. These relationships are what transform good coffee into something meaningful. Eachother exists to make those connections visible, tangible, and worth savoring.

Our First Pop-Up

On June 14, we took over Union Lounge in downtown Rockford for our first Eachother pop-up. Guests stopped in throughout the morning for specialty coffee and a spread of sweet and savory pastries. On the bar: four coffees by the cup — La Salvaje Gesha (Honduras), Diego Bermudez Pink Bourbon (Colombia), Pablo Ponce Sidra (Ecuador), and Nestor Lasso Java (Colombia) — plus bags available to take home.

At 1 PM, we hosted a sold-out wine tasting co-hosted with Cream Wine Company. Thirty-five guests gathered for an intimate afternoon of natural wine and conversation about what coffee and wine have in common — more than most people expect.

We'll be doing more of these before we open. Follow us on Instagram to hear about them first.

Where It All Began: Coffee with the Roaster

On October 21, 2025, nearly 20 people gathered at the Rockford Roasting roastery for an intimate tasting where Don Fabio and Fabio Jr. Caballero shared the story of their award-winning farm alongside Andros Mitri from Cima Café. Hosts Benjamin Chauvin and Andrew Rodden guided guests through exceptional Honduran coffees, revealing the La Salvaje Gesha as Eachother's inaugural offering. It was a rare moment where the entire journey from seed to cup came together in one room.

Our First Coffee: La Salvaje Gesha

We soft-launched Eachother on October 21st with a coffee that embodies everything this brand represents—Fabio Caballero Jr.'s La Salvaje Gesha, winner of the 2025 Honduran Cup of Excellence.

Fabio is a fifth-generation coffee producer who founded Finca La Salvaje in 2019 with seeds from his family's Cup of Excellence-winning farm. The name—"The Wild Farm"—captures the essence of this remarkable place: 90% shade-grown coffee thriving in a biodiverse environment where native wildlife, natural springs, and dense forest canopy create a unique microclimate. This Gesha was manually harvested at peak ripeness by community members from San Isidro, then meticulously processed through 48 hours of dry fermentation and 25–30 days of slow drying under full shade.

The result? Notes of orange blossom, chardonnay, and mango that reveal what's possible when tradition meets innovation, when environmental stewardship shapes flavor, when the care of many hands becomes something you can taste.

What's next for Eachother

Since our first gathering last October, things have been quietly moving. Rockford Roasting Co. recently purchased a new home at 501 E. State St. in downtown Rockford — a space that will serve as the production hub for both brands and, eventually, the permanent home for Eachother’s tasting experiences. In the meantime, we’re bringing Eachother to you. Stay tuned for a series of intimate pop-up events in the coming months. Follow us on Instagram to be the first to hear about them.
