This cascara is the fruit of geisha beans from our friends at Rivense de Chirripo has notes of cider spice, tart cherry & green apple.
“Cascara” means skin or husk in Spanish. We talk about coffee being a fruit, but the bean we roast is only the seed of that fruit. Cascara is the fleshy outside of that fruit. It has been separated, dried and is ready to steep in hot water or slow brewed in cold water.
